Interests & Passions
My greatest interests and passions are reading and writing. I am most interested in reading and writing fantasy works; however, I also work to entrench myself in other genres such as historical fiction, biographies, horror, and romance. It is important to have knowledge on a variety of subjects and genres when working in a public library. In order to continue expanding my familiarity with literature, I would like to read more non-fiction and philosophy books.

From top left to bottom right: Robert Galbraith's Lethal White; Hillary Rodham Clinton's What Happened; J.R.R Tolkien's The Hobbit; Dave Egger's What is the What?; Lucy Maude Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables; Jane Austen's Mansfield Park.
Furthermore, I am also passionate about film, television, animation, and Japanese manga and anime. In particular, I am a fan of the anime-inspired show Avatar the Last Airbender, which presents Eastern philosophies and ideologies to a Western audience. I think it is important to introduce all readers to content that comes from non-Western cultures or is inspired by it in order to create empathy and understanding. I would hope to put these interests to use within the public library system.
